Choice Screening and LabCorp have teamed up to provide COVID1-9 Antibodies Testing. The SARS-CoV-2 Antibody IgG Assay Summary offered through LabCorp collection sites. The test detects the presence of IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, which is the virus that causes COVID-19.
Compliance
The Antibodies Test received EUA (Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA. Results should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude recent infection of COVID-19. False positive results may occur. This test is recommended 10-14 days post symptoms or 10-14 days following exposure to COVID-19.
Prior to initiating testing on your employees, it is best practice to put a policy in place and consult with a qualified employment attorney. Things to consider:
- How will you address the results of the test?
- If results are positive, should the employee be tested for current infection prior to being allowed to return to work?
- Adverse action should not be taken based on the results of the test.
